JaLan RaYa - 9th Dec 2004

It kicked off with a late start. Originally planned for 9am... became 10 30 am .. Ms Y was extremely lucky to be picked up by Ms N from Woodlands and dropped off @ Jurong East to make it on time. It was a nice surprise to know Ms N already had a license and a car! .

Mr "West" drove all 4 of us (including Mr "Hawa") to the Chef's house @ Bedok. My what a LOngggg ride. We gals, seated behind, utilised the time snapping pics of basically everybody & everything. First house - great wall painting. a glass of coke. didnt eat the fried chicken & "paru" although it is one of my favourites. failed attempt to catch a few minutes of 'The Art of The Devil' show *brought by Skutz*. Posed and snapped a few pics. Left the place @ 1 plus.

Second house - Mr F's house. ate mee goreng with yummy satay-like meat. drank coke and bandung *courtesy of the guys's "demands"*. Posed and snapped a few pics. Left the place @ 2 plus. Third house - Ms Y's house. ate some Raya goodies. Drank plain warm water. Tho the rest get to taste a new flavour of F&N in green colour. Finally got to watch the VCD. Didn't get to watch it til the end cos of too many distraction. Guys left the place for the fourth house while we waited for Ms N. Kinda felt bad that Ms Y persuaded her to come all the way to Woodlands to drive us to Sembawang. After much persuasion from Ms Y, she relented and joined us for the remainder of the jalan Raya. Left the place @ 5 plus. Fourth house - Mr Red's house. Love the house cos its so simple yet beautiful. the guys were happy with the new"blood". one even sms me later to bring 10 of her for the next year jalan raya! he thinks Im a cloner is it.hehe. Ate some nuggets and drank the "right" flavour F&N green coloured drink. Posed and snapped a pic with Mr Red's sweet wife and the rest of the gals. Left the place @ 6 plus.

Skutz and I didn't join Ms Y and Ms N for the last house - which is Mr "West"'s house. Kinda such a waste as there is where the feast begins. *sobs* After Ms N sent skutZ home, she sent me to IMM to meet Mr Camel. Kinda cool to have car and drive it around *nudges @ SKutz*. Haiz. From the pics at Ms Y's blog, looked like they all had great feast and fun! Well there's always another year. This year's jalan raya wasn't as rowdy and great as the first few years. But its nice to see friends who we didn't get to see for a long time. Kinda sad that Nuyul and Kim didn't join. The guys were contemplating of "recruiting" female freshies for next year jalan raya cos the gals in our group are dwindling by the months. Like we care ah gals :P .. hehe

AnywayS @ IMM, my darling & i went to snoop around for a TV and DVD player. We ate @ the BAgus Banquet on the 3rd floor. It's like a Marche styled food place. Upon entering, a card was given to each of us and when we buy any food *we have to walk around and see what to eat*, the card was scanned to include the price. We had quite a big spread as both of us were hungry. Individually the food were kinda Xpensive, ranging between 5 to 13 bucks. But somehow collectively *after 4 dishes and 2 drinks*, the cost was only $30. Maybe we will go there again to try other stuffs but ther's not much choice it seems.

After a long day, I was so tired and kinda on a reflective mode *shrugs* Thanks Skutz for finally agreeing to join us jalan raya. Noticed that u were kinda stoned towards the end of the day. U gotta rush back some more for religious class. Sorry yah. Hope U had a good, if not great, time :).
